Once again Queen Latifah has demonstrated that she is the quintessential artist. A hip-hop legend, Oscar-nominated actress and businesswoman, the former television talk show host has written a children's book, Queen of the Scene.

This book is all about respect, something Queen Latifah has even rapped about. Complete with beautiful illustrations from award winning artist Frank Morrison, Queen of the Scene tells of young Queen, who is full of confidence and shares her positive message with all the neighborhood youth.

This book, which is for ages 3-8, has a message for all ages-stand tall and be the best. Believing in self is key, Queen points out to her young friends as she boasts her many attributes.

At a time when young people are suffering so many abuses, physically and mentally, it's good to pick up a book that will make young people feel empowered. Reading about young Queen conquering all obstacles can go far in building the esteem of readers.

An easy and enjoyable read, Queen of the Scene is just the type of book young people should be introduced to because it helps lay the foundation for their future.

Once again, Queen Latifah, who champions many causes involving children, has shown why she continues to reign supreme
