In Another Man’s Bed, author Francis Ray brings another character’s issues and tumultuous life to readers with Justine Crandall, who gave her all to her husband only to find that he was a liar and a cheat.
Women readers will empathize with Justine when she walks into her home to find her man in another woman’s arms. They will feel her pain and frustration as she tries to get away from a scene she never could have imagined.
Men readers will have flashbacks when her loving husband takes off in pursuit, trying to explain his transgressions.
Is there really a good enough explanation?
An emotional tale, In Another Man’s Bed is complicated by Justine’s ex-boyfriend, her overbearing mother-in-law and a cast of characters who all have advice and some without even knowing what is the real deal.
It would be easy for Justine to file for a divorce and go on with her life. It would be too easy and that’s not how Ms. Ray does things.
Instead while that cheating husband is frantically chasing after Justine, he is involved in an accident that lands him in a coma.
So then the wait begins.
And Justine has to decide whether or not she is going to pull the plug on her comatose husband.
She could follow the doctor’s direction, or listen to her worrisome mother-in-law; but despite having done nothing wrong, the thought of pulling the plug has her feeling guilty.
Once again Ms. Ray has penned an emotion-packed novel delving into the lives of several characters as they deal with everyday occurrences. She skillfully addresses issues and develops her characters to a point that they are practically jumping off the pages and readers will find that they are able to identify with their emotions.
And she continues to present dilemmas that cause the readers to think and reassess their own lives. Find out if Justine will follow her head or her heart.
Would you pull the plug?
