For anyone who has had the privilege of hearing Pastor Frederick D. Haynesí ìInspirational Vitamins,î you know the power of the spoken word.

A mainstay on D/FW-based K104 FMís Skip Murphy Morning Show for years, Pastor Haynes has comforted the afflicted, inspired the downtrodden and challenged the haters.

If youíre ever in need of words to move you to action, youíll enjoy Soul Fitness.

According to Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr., ìthe real task in ministry is to find ways to serve the people who are our contemporaries.î

In Soul Fitness, Rev. Wright provides the foreword. He says of Dr. Haynes, ìFreddy takes the gospel out of the dusty pages of the seventeenth century King James Version and translates it into language that the hip hop generation understands.î

Whether Dr. Haynes is talking about ìfinding God when youíve lost it allî or asking the question ìwhat are you doing to carry on the legacy,î his insightful messages will make you pause and think.

Using real-life scenarios, he skillfully weaves the bible into his vignettes, bringing each one to a climax and taking listeners to another level.

The power of the Inspirational Vitamins can not be discounted. During a lengthy hospital stay five years ago, no matter what I was doing I made sure that the nurse had my radio on and tuned to K104 at 9:55 a.m.

I knew that I would receive a message that would help me on my road to recovery.

Now that those very words he spoke are in written form, Pastor Haynesí ministry continues to grow.

Currently the senior pastor at Friendship-West Baptist Church, where the membership rolls appear to be rapidly approaching 10,000; Pastor Haynes understands that his ministry can not, should not, will not be confined to four walls.
