In His Presence: Witnessing the Glory of God will cause you to shed some tears, chuckle a little, and it might even bring you to your knees in prayer.

Ms. Snell is one of many dynamic authors hailing from Dallas’ Concord Missionary Baptist Church, and she is definitely one of the better testimonial writers on the scene today.

Ms. Snell has a way of helping the reader to see, smell, hear, feel and taste her words, as she talks about her life and shares some very strong messages.

She opens with a very insightful story of how she was in God’s presence as a child, venturing away from home in the dark. Ms. Snell said she wrote In His Presence for readers to “realize when they’re in the presence of God” and so they will benefit from “like situations.”

Her message to readers: “Use it (the book) to open your eyes and ears to God’s tender tapping on your heart. Looking back over the course of your life, you’ll realize that He’s been there all along.”

In His Presence is not preachy or overbearing. Ms. Snell’s writing style is actually thought-provoking and inspiring—while also being informative. She shares her pain and “ah ha” moments.

It is hard not to become engrossed in Ms. Snell’s story, as she talks about everything from the murder of her parents to the pain-free delivery of her daughter.

Readers will find someone or even themselves on the pages of In His Presence.

In His Presence is a great book to share with someone who is feeling depressed or needs a different perspective. Ms. Snell’s moving account of different stages in her life will provide a testament to the power of faith, understanding that faith and fear can not occupy the same space.

Marvin Huckaby deserves a shout-out for his work on In His Presence. Mr. Huckaby, a graduate of UT Dallas, created the book cover design.
